From Wednesday, 23 June until Sunday, 4 July 2021, the Burger Centre will be closed and no volunteer home visits should occur during this time.

This is due to the increasing number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the local government area which is impacting availability of employees and Burger Centre’s ability to provide a safe community space.

We will implement an interim remote program for the week commencing 28 June 2021, including a volunteer ‘call-to-connect’ program and will contact clients with details.

Protecting our community and those who care for them is our priority and these actions have been based upon the advice of the Department of Health and NSW Government. Current NSW Government COVID-19 advice can be found here.

Burger Centre will continue to monitor advice and case numbers and provide an update on Friday 2 July.

Please contact Bronwyn Elbourne, Senior Manager of the Burger Centre, on b.elbourne@burgercentre.com.au or 02 8345 9147 during this time with any queries.

Burger Centre offers a diverse range of activities for older people to continue to feel connected with the community with a strong sense of purpose and fulfilment. Programs include social support to stimulate, motivate and encourage social interaction with a focus on enablement, wellness and independence.

Positive ageing is a key focus. We hold physical activities including Hydro-cise, Strength and Balance, Tai Chi and Mindful Meditation.

We are situated in Randwick, and have a fleet of buses to support access to our centre. Burger Centre is a joint partnership between Montefiore Home and Jewish Care and is supported by JCA and Commonwealth Home Support Funding.

Contact us on 02 8345 9147.
